That's my friend Charles to the left. He's a zombie. The first time I met a real life zombie (and "real life" might sound strange for a name given to the walking dead) I was terrified. So was he. Here's the story: Without much thought, I wander into the zombie-guarded catacombs.

He stays so much behind the scenes even though he knows so much.

Best Use of Social Network- The 30 Goals Challenge Community

The 30 Goals for Educators is my project but this year we added a Facebook community and the members are incredible. Nearly 500 teachers are posting their reflections, suggesting goals, supporting each other daily. They are from around the world. I want to thank them for all they do. They inspire me daily!

#Edchat which was created by Tom Whitby, Steven Anderson, and I four years ago, is still full of incredible resources and great people gather every Tuesday to share inspiration, ideas, and resources.

Best open PD- Free TESOL EVO 5 Week Open Online Sessions

Every year for over 5 years, teachers from around the world gather in January to offer free 5 week courses to anyone. There are many topics from gamification to drama. One of the 1st precedents to modern day MOOCs. A Project of TESOL's The Electronic Village Online CALL Interest Section What is the EVO? EVO is a set of online discussions and workshops that takes place every year from mid-January to mid-February. Sessions include a range from simple discussions to virtual hands-on workshops.
