Who was worth meeting at Cork Innovates Ireland #ci13 ?

Cork Innovates - an annual business networking event. Also a conference. On Thurs 14 November Cork City Hall Ireland - 9am-4:30pm.
It's hard to follow-up well after gatherings. This is one way.
Put your contacts here - even say when you met & what you chatted about. Make this a shared list of speakers you loved, met & even those you missed.
People are curious - we'd love to know whom you met - whether you feel like meeting them again & why

Bernie Goldbach

Just as I was walking into Cork City Hall Bernie phoned me from Co Tipperary Ireland. So, strictly speaking, he shouldn't be here.
But he detained me outside - on a chilly day - with such arresting chat - he influence my whole day & kickstarted my positive mood

Marie Drew from Meitheal Mara

My first priority at Cork Innovates at 09:15 was non-caffeine tea & water. This took me up to the City Hall staff canteen. Great quiet place. 45 minutes later, as I was leaving for the excitement below, I spotted wood work on display. While browsing Marie Drew told me about Meitheal Mara.
We chatted about how well known it was in Cork, Ireland & the wider world. How it could be better known & loved. How it would be good to ratchet up its reputation - so that this not-for-profit could do even more good work for people who hand-make boats & furniture.
As far as I know Meitheal Mara provides occupational therapy to help people recover.
Marie asked me if I'd ever been to see the Meitheal Mara place in Cork City?
Many haven't.

Talking with Marie about MM reminded me that (in our business) we've talked about the idea of working pro bono for one great cause - together with a team of collaborators. At this stage, it's thinking - but later in say Q3 2014 that might happen. [Big influence from Misfits-Inc here]
We must visit Meitheal Mara again soon.

Lucy O'Donoghue Consulting

We'd arranged to meet at Cork Innovates. We both wanted caffeine free - so we retired to the City Hall staff canteen.
There we caught up on our business developments - including Lucy's role in SmarterEgg Events

We talked about a couple of possible projects involving SmarterEgg & Tyndall National Institute in Cork.

We also talked about "dream prospects" & said we'd meet again soon.
