Looking for the best headphones for xbox 360?
We could spend hours arguing the merits of a good gaming headset. They are easily one of the best accessories available for the Xbox 360, whether you're a die-hard Halo devotee or just a casual gamer, ushering in a new era of sound quality and immersion that just wasn't offered on consoles a decade ago.
Turtle Beach some six or seven years ago were behind some really awesome gear, and if memory serves, the Santa Cruz from this company was one of the best original PCI based sound cards we ever tested.
Astro Gaming makes some of the most highly regarded gaming headsets in the world. And with the impending launch of Battlefield 4, the company has announced an update to its wireless A50 line, complete with new colors and a DICE-developed audio setting. The Astro Gaming A50 Battlefield 4 Edition is apparently Astro's first licensed Microsoft headset.
Whether you're looking to hear those sneaking footsteps or simply need to keep your gaming quiet, gaming headsets can be extremely divisive. Some are really good, others are terrible. Here are some of the best headsets to enhance your Xbox 360 gaming experience.

I pre-ordered the x-12's after my dog got a hold of my reliable x-11's and chewed them up. Perfect timing! The x-12's were available for pre-order through Amazon and i received them on my doorstep on the exact same day they were released. I've used these to play Black Ops Zombies and they are good headphones. Just as clear as the x-11's, nice new black look, and the new bass feature is an added plus. I was going to try a different set of headphones to replace my x-11's but i decided to stick with Turtle Beach because of their EXCELLENT customer service. I owned a wireless set from Turtle Beach(forgot the model) and when i had a problem with a wire, they sent me a replacement part free of charge. Their email support is quick and very helpful with any questions you have. You can't go wrong with Turtle Beach.
I would recommend this. It takes a little getting used to. At least for me. Getting it to work with either console, the X-Box 360 and the Playstation requires a bit of configuring when you switch from one to the other and is cumbersome in the beginning. I would say this awkwardness is something that can be overcome with practice and a little familiarity with the product. RTFM. If your having problems, read the manual again.
For years, the gamers of Xbox have wanted a "Truly Wireless Headset." Many attempts at this proved to be a failure, and while the Turtle Beach XP500 uses a Wireless Dongle, it still was not "True Wireless" to many. Many thought that "True Wireless" just was not possible and could never be achieved. Last year at E3, everything changed. Tritton announced its newest headset in "the Warhead", as well as working together with Microsoft to create a "Truly Wireless" solution. It has been a year, and you can now buy the Warhead from the offical store of MadCatz. However, the Warhead now has some competition from ASTRO Gaming (their arch-nemises), and Turtle Beach, the former having released the Astro A50, and the latter having released the XP500. Has Tritton's year gamble paid off, or was it a year too late? Find out soon! :)
My boys are big gamers on the Xbox 360 game system. I think we have tried every one of these types of headsets over the years. Honestly my personal favorite is the Hydra Performance set (the white and grey pair). They are inexpensive but have lasted longer than any of the other headsets we have tried.
