MEXICO CITY (AP) - She has been a fixture at Day of the Dead fiestas for a century, and Mexico's elegant and classy "Skeleton Lady" is even inspiring some movie and rock stars in the U.S. to don Halloween costumes based on the macabre figure.

What is La Catrina?

According to Mexican Folklore, "La Catrina" -also known as death- can show herself in many different ways. Sometimes she is dressed in a rather elaborate, festive way. Sometimes she appears before us in "bare bones," to take us away when we least expect it.
