PUERTO DE LA CRUZ AND THE SAHARA DESERT

That was the year my mother took me to Puerto de la Cruz on the island of Tenerife, Canary Islands for the March school break. We were living in Germany then and travelled extensively. I was twelve, "going on 20″. These islands were formed from volcanic rock and have some fascinating vistas.

A PASSION FOR ANCIENT HISTORY

Ancient history has always been a major passion of mine. The town where I was born in Germany still has the wall around it that the conquering Romans built. In Europe, one is constantly exposed to these fascinating historical artifacts.
