Visit Chinatown

Broome is a town with a rich and diver history, which can be experienced with a walk around Chinatown. Broome's popularity rose due to being a prominent destination for pearling. In its early days, many Asian immigrants came to work on the pearling boats. This contributed to the town's diverse nature, which the town proudly retains to this day. Broome's Chinatown is located just north of the town and contains many pearling stores, authentic Chinese cafes and restaurants and galleries. Chinatown is very popular with both locals and visitors alike and can be easily reached from Cable Beach hotels such as the likes of Oaks Cable Beach Resort.
