Gabriel Gaté locates more specialties and visits a vineyard on the west coast, just outside the beautiful town of Calvi. In the kitchen, Gabriel makes the famous chicken Marengo, a dish created by Napoleon's cook. Tweet Vote on HN

Taste le Tour - Stage 4

As much as I loved Gabriel whipping up a chilled ratatouille (coincidentally I cooked ratatouille last night for the first time in years ) But certainly the most exciting thing from last night tour has to be the Green Edge boys!

Taste le Tour - Stage 5

OK, let me be blunt, I'm a MEAT man, Fish to me is only one step away from the evils of that horrible debilitating disease of Vegetarianism, However I must say Gabriels dish on this episode, albeit fish, certainly looks like its worth a 2nd look.

Taste le Tour - Stage 6

Today Gabriel goes to the Languedoc region (also the largest grape growing region) just before hitting the Pyrenees, where this bike race will really hot up... So enjoy Gabriel's beautiful fruit salad.. However I'm excited for tomorrow, Pigeon is on the menu.

Taste le Tour - Stage 7

Albi, a beautiful town on the Tarn river, is one of Gabriel Gaté's favourite spots for holidaying in France. The local cuisine is quite provincial and Gabriel checks out a farm where they breed pigeons for the table.

Taste le Tour - Stage 8

OK, I'm going to have a grizzle! Gabriel said he was doing pigeon today! Or maybe in pure male fashion I didn't listed carefully. Most likely scenario. However I will happily settle for a bit of the Old Donald....! And this is a quacker of a dish..

Damn you Gabriel! Watching this episode made me damn hungry These special black pigs appear to produce some awesome pork! And if you have seen some of FatTV you will know I don't mind a bit of pig! Yumm!!

This is a ripper! I know, I know, I normally don't like fish, but again Gabriel puts together a great fish stew that certainly looks like a step up in my book. Looks like we are in for some Lamb tomorrow! Now were talking!

Taste le Tour - Stage 11

This recipe is so simple, as it doesn't require any work at all to enhance the beauty of the lamb that Gabriel is preparing. The Lamb has been grazing on salty bushes from the rising tides of the area. Its this diet that gives the lamb its special taste.

Off to the Loire, and its desert time. Gabriels whips up a great little Gateau. Gabriel Gaté reconnects with his native Loire Valley region, known as the "garden of France" and famous for its stunning châteaux. Gabriel explores the covered market of Tours and meets a great cheesemonger.

Taste le Tour - Stage 13

Check out that pot of Lambs heart, lungs and other bits of guts.. mmmm, how good does that look. Nasty, but nice! But todays recipe - Desert time again.... mmmmm.

Taste le Tour - Stage 14

I still clearly recall in Lyon, while dining in a magnificent restaurant and rather large American (I know, doesnt narrow it down much) order tomato sauce for his food. OMG, please.... Here is a ripper of a nibbly...You want to watch this one..

Taste le Tour - Stage 15

I absolutely love Avignon, and my favorite French Reds are from the Rhone region! Very partial to the wine by Guigal. But Gabriel, comon buddy, enough of the deserts. Im not a sweet tooth. But never mind, I know most of you are.

Taste le Tour - Stage 16

OMG! This dish in an absolute BALL TEARER! I am hungry just by looking at this amazing roast saddle of Lamb. It is simple, but impressive.

Taste le Tour - Stage 17

Mmm, I think even Gabriel may have this wrong. Vegies and Yabbies? With Truffle? OK, seems odd, but he knows a fair bit more about it than me, thats for sure. So it must be worth a try.

Taste le Tour - Stage 18

Another one for the Sweet Fangs, and a great use of blueberries, maybe wait a few months to give this a crack, may cost an arm and a leg at the moment. Gabriel visits an alpine market and discovers the local charcuterie and outstanding regional cheeses.

Taste le Tour - Stage 19

Holy Crap! This is what I'm talkin BOUT! Get your lips around this absolute cracker! If you like cheese, and who doesn't? u want to have a crack at this bad boy... ignore the calories....

Taste le Tour - Stage 20

Here is a ripper little dish! A smoked trout terrine. Perfect for a dinner party, and so easy, yet very impressive. I think this great little terrine will certainly be on the "to try soon" list. Annecy, which overlooks a beautiful lake, is one of France's most scenic alpine towns.

Taste le Tour - Stage 21

All good things come to an end, after three weeks of Gabriel taking us around France I have become more motivated than ever to eat. Not that I ever needed any motivation in that area.
