Great info graphic
I just came across this wonderful graphic and thought you might like to have a look as well. This is a work done by our colleague Susan Xnevad. The graphic is designed in such a way to help teachers learn more about how to use SAMR model to integrate technology in education.
Everyone is talking about the SAMR model for eLearning. A principal emailed me this week wanting to know more about the concept so I emailed her with a reply but thought it may be useful to add my thoughts more publicly too. The SAMR model is based on the thinkings of Ruben Puentedura.
Many schools are jumping on the iPad bandwagon and the devices are becoming increasingly present in classrooms everywhere. Of course, every 1:1 implementation requires planning and professional development to help educators understand the benefits of use, as well as the limitations of the device.
As a new teacher I remember getting into my classroom for the first time. I set up the space like classrooms I had seen before and enjoyed; I got my lesson plans in order; packed the filing cabinets with resources; started to make copies of overhead slides; put together an area for reading and stacked the shelves with books I had picked up in college or from my parents house.

I had the lucky opportunity of attending Apple's What's Next? Transforming the Future of Learning event in Chicago these past 2 days. There were about 70 educators across 8 states, 20 Apple employees, and researchers Dr. Ruben Puentedura and Dr. Damien Bebell.
