Treatments for " Boring Wall Syndrome"

A great way to add interest to a tired room is to incorporate an interesting wall treatment into your design plan . You can create a simple focal wall, or go all-out by adding a treatment throughout the entire room.

Here, I've compiled a list of some classic wall treatments that have stood the test of time, as well as a few bold, new options that are currently trending in the design world.

If you find yourself stricken with Boring Wall Syndrome, try one of these Treatments!

Geometric Focal Wall With Trim

A bold paint color and simple molding turn a bare wall into a stunning, graphic focal point.

Wall Tattoos / Wall Decals

Redefine your space with Surface Collective Wall Decals / Wall Tattoos / Wall Stickers.

Board and Batten

I absolutely love board and batten walls, don't you? I mean, they make my heart smile when I see them. ;) There is something so warm and inviting about them. I have been wanting to put up some board and batten walls somewhere in my home.

Tile Stripes

Love the gorgeousness of this! Taking beautiful sheets of tile and creating a striped effect

Tone-on-Tone Wall Stencil

Use a glossy over matte finish paint in the same color to create a beautiful tone-on-tone stencil effect

Stikwood | Plan. Peel. Stik

stikwood is a peel and stik...Stikwood is a peel and stick real wood decor. It is extremely easy to use and will transform a room in minutes. Stikwood is designed to be a very cost effective way to dramatically improve your space.

Painted Stripes

As much as I love a beautiful painted wall in a single color, I also adore the look of painted stripes on walls. They can be bold or subtle, symmetrical or varied, horizontal or vertical, but done just right, stripes are perfect for creating big impact on a budget.

Shutter Wall

Many months after I figured I'd finish my shutter wall, it is finally done! It looked finished by last June after my in-laws came to visit. Learn about where I found all my shutters and check out the development of the wall in my previous post.

Wall Stencil - with a Twist

The use of Flower Wall Stencils to paint and create unique designs to adorn the walls of your house is a great idea. Wall painting stencils make for one of the best and most cost-effective ways to enhance the look of your house and turn it into a dream home.
