American Dance Festival Summer Intensive 2013

Invitation from the Co-Deans The ADF is a phenomenon that one has to experience to fully understand. It is truly an American festival, thought it has international reach and draw. Here possibilities abound and the energy created by the convergence of dance artists from around the country and around the world is palpable.

Bates Dance Festival Summer Intensive 2013

The Bates Dance Festival brings together choreographers, performers, educators and students in a cooperative community to study, perform and create new work. The Festival offers a supportive atmosphere aimed at fostering a creative exchange of ideas, encouraging exploration of new ground and providing opportunities to experience a wide spectrum of dance/movement disciplines.

The Ailey School Summer Intensive 2013

The Ailey School’s Summer Intensive Program is designed to give motivated students the opportunity to study dance in an exciting professional environment in New York City. The Program is for students ages 16 - 25 who have had a minimum of three years of consistent training and is structured to advance the technical skills of dancers in a wide variety of techniques.Students attend a daily ballet class, a daily modern technique class of either Horton and/or Graham–based modern, supplemented with elective classes which include jazz, Dunham technique, hip-hop, tap, body conditioning, yoga, Gyrokinesis®, barre à terre and/or a repertory or elective workshop.

San Francisco Ballet Summer Intensive 2013

San Francisco Ballet School's summer session is a unique and challenging summer program individually suited to your dance level.This three week program will provide intermediate students the opportunity to improve skills and gain strength, and it is designed to give them a deeper understanding of ballet as an art form. The schedule includes technique, pas de deux, pointe, and batterie. Additional classes may include variations, character dance, fencing, dance history, and floor barre.

Miami City Ballet Summer Intensive 2013

Miami City Ballet School offers an intensive five-week training program in our 63,000 square-foot facility in South Beach from June 24 – July 26, 2013. The five-day-week classes are taught by the Miami City Ballet School faculty and principal dancers of the Miami City Ballet Company. Classes include ballet technique, pointe, pas de deux, variations, Jazz, stretch and weight training. Typically, students take four classes each day during the five-day-week schedule. Classes start at 9:30 or 10:00 am. and finish at 4:00 or 4:45 pm.

Atlanta Ballet Summer Intensive 2013

The Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education Summer Intensive Program has earned a reputation for excellence, with a challenging, comprehensive curriculum that emphasizes strong technique, artistry, and performance. Led by Director John McFall and Centre Dean Sharon Story, the summer programs offer outstanding faculty and master guest teachers dedicated to helping each individual student maximize his or her training experience and goals.

Several programs at various locations in Georgia are available for the intermediate through professional level dancer. Students will participate in a minimum of four classes each day, in addition to performance rehearsals. The Atlanta Ballet Centre Summer Intensives focus on developing well-rounded dancers by exposing them to a wide variety of disciplines with an emphasis on classical ballet technique.

Joffrey Ballet South, Georgia Summer Intensive 2013

This Joffrey South Workshop offers advanced students ages 15 - 21 a three-week, in-depth ballet experience. Daily technique will be offered in ballet, pointe, variations, pas des deux, broadway, jazz, hip-hop and new choreography. On the final day of the program students will perform in a demonstration on the stage at Russell Auditorium. Students attending this Joffrey South Workshop will be considered for enrollment in the Joffrey Ballet School’s year-long program in New York City. Emphasis will also be placed upon body conditioning.The goal is to train young dancers in the classical ballet technique, artistry and versatility required for an active career in a professional company. Further, the Trainee Program frequently provides disciplined dancers with the opportunity to perform in professional arenas while continuing their training.
