Countless mobile phones have made starring appearances in our favorite films and this list features the most memorable and inspiring of such appearances.

The Nokia 7110 was one of the original mobile phones to take a cameo role in a movie and captured the imagination of viewers with its futuristic spring-release slider. The phone in the movie was actually the Nokia 8110 but Nokia launched the 7110 to coincide with the films launch and so this will be known as the Matrix phone forever more.

Sony Xperia T - James Bond Skyfall (2012)

Blatantly marketed by Sony, the Xperia T features in the 23rd edition of the James Bond movies, SkyFall. At least four other Sony mobile phones have made cameo roles along with a whole host of Nokia ones.

The Dell Streak 5 itself can tough out those missions thanks to Corning Gorilla glass which protects the large 5-inch display.

The LG Optimus V, known as the Optimus One in the UK, was seen being used by two of the lead characters in the Twilight Saga. Both Edward, played by Robert Pattison, and Bella, played by Kristen Stewart, uses the phone in multiple scenes of the film. The Optimus V was one of the first smartphones to bring the virtual QWERTY keypad to the user taking the physical keyboard away and placing it on the touchscreen.
