Feeling a tad under the weather? OMG! Maybe this has gone on for days…weeks…months! Dare I guess, years? WTH, friends. Did you know there numerous psychological and physiological factors impact your health—mental stability, chemical imbalance, etc? If you’re one of these people, there’s a good chance your love life is suffering. Never fear. Here are just a few stats from Utah college studies that show you what might be hindering your emotional shine.

Stress…ugh. Everywhere you look, there it is. At home, on the highway, during work. Everyone is under their own amount of pressure, and your love life can take a dive if you let this strain control you. Things like financial difficulties, family illness, of just having a hectic schedule can conflict with nutrition and brain function. Without proper diet, rest, and meditation, your emotions will be depleted. No matter what #Utahlifestyle you are striving for, you must learn to manage your stress. If not, it will wreak havoc on your personal life!

Relationships can be knotty. I mean, seriously. Any issues and major differences need to be ironed out if you want to reclaim some intimacy and affection with your partner. Emotional closeness, particularly for women, will ultimately make or break your #lovelife. In addition, having poor communication, dabbling in infidelity, and constantly arguing should be eliminated. Are you beginning to wonder if the spark of lust only exists in young, college students? Then you need to reinvent your way of thinking, #STAT. Utah is the new Italy…or something. A city of amore!

Right. Most people think having some cocktails here or there will loosen you up. Tossing back shots is like #lmao. Unfortunately, alcohol can be inappropriately perceived as an aphrodisiac that lowers inhibitions. Okay, so it will lower your inhibitions, but actually, physically, it is numbing those hormonal parts of you. The same goes for other drugs. No more college parties for you, my dear. Avoid the Utah nightlife, and focus a little more on your personal health.

Lastly, maintain a good body image. When you think good, don’t think of superficial idealism. Be happy with yourself. You’ll never please the person in the mirror, let alone your partner, if you suffer from extreme body dismorphia. It’s time to find a way to boost your self-esteem. So walking around a college campus might expose you to all those fit health nuts that wake up at the crack of dawn for pilates class, but at least you’re getting some exercise! If not, there are a lot of Utah trails you can walk, run, or sprint, at your leisure to keep you in shape. Feel good about yourself, and watch your love life #blossom!
