Main Park Road, Bryce Canyon

Following miles of canyon rim, this thoroughfare gives access to more than a dozen scenic overlooks between the park entrance and Rainbow Point. Major overlooks are rarely more than a few minutes' walk from the parking areas, and many let you see more than 100 mi on clear days.

Cove Creek Road, Great Smoky Mountains

This drive takes you to one of the most beautiful valleys in the Smokies, and to one of the most interesting destinations - Cataloochee.

Tioga Road, Yosemite

While many folks drive straight into the crowded valley and back out, the real vistas are along the Tioga road. The drive between Olmstead point and the Tioga pass amidst the granite, meadows, and lakes is an unparalleled experience. Tip - try to be at Tenaya lake for sunrise.

Kolob Canyons Road, Zion

Kolob Canyons is a beautiful place to tour throughout the year. In the winter, the red navajo sandstone glimmers with a fresh dusting of snow and in the spring the waterfalls cascade down the rugged cliffs, streaking them black from the run-off. As you travel along the Kolob Canyons road, you will see several Interpretive Roadside exhibits at various pullouts along the scenic drive.

North East Entrance to Lamar Valley, Yellowstone

This 29-mi road features the richest diversity of landscape of the five entrance roads to Yellowstone. Lamar Valley yields a breathtaking wide-open landscape scattered with ponds and large boulders. Its saturation in natural beauty and wondrous opportunity make Lamar Valley as attractive to tourists as it is to wildlife.

Glacier Park is one of the most scenic parks I have visited. Going to the sun Hwy is usually open July to Oct.

It never gets old traveling along this scenic byway, especially in the fall.
