The Office Web Apps (OWA) were introduced with the release of SharePoint 2010. I immediately loved this new feature. By using the OWA every user can open and edit Office documents in the browser without the need of a local Office installation. This solves the issue of some users having a different Office version or no local Office client at all.
The new Search features in SharePoint 2013 are simply amazing. The FAST engine is finally fully integrated and you don't need to acquire an additional license. Thank you Microsoft!
