Charities in Cuba - Huricane Sandy relief effort

Cuba's eastern provinces, especially Santiago, have been devastated by hurricane Sandy.

Thousands of ordinary Cubans are homeless. Many are now facing food shortages.

Here's a list of aid organisations currently active in Cuba.

Please spread the word and consider donating to one of them. Whatever your political persuasions now is the time to show some human solidarity with the Cuban people

ACT Alliance Preliminary Appeal: Hurricane Sandy in Cuba - AlertNet

Preliminary Appeal Target: US$ 495,966. ACT member the Cuban Council of Churches (CCC) activated its Emergency Committee and is planning to provide relief to 360 families en emergency response with food security, water and sanitation activities; it is also planning to support 1,000 families with psychosocial activities, shelter, mainly roofs reconstruction and livelihood restoration.
