Bay Area Wedding venues

Potential places in the San Francisco Bay Area to have your wedding.

Welcome to Mountain Terrace

Spectacular view, can go indoors if it rains. They required us to use their chef and their alcohol. The food at the tasting was so-so. We ended up using their recommended pastry chef for our wedding cake though!

Holbrook Palmer Park  Atherton, California

This place was the cheapest to rent, and let us bring in our own caterer and our own alcohol, which made it much cheaper and more flexible than other venues.

Claremont Hotel & Spa

They take care of pretty much everything for you, but it was pretty expensive, and the only real option was indoors. You don't have to worry about rain, but the pictures won't turn out as scenic. They had the highest liquor prices. But they have award winning chefs and pastry chef.

Hakone Estate & Gardens

Not much of a backup plan if it rains unless you have a really small wedding ceremony.

Nestldown

Really beautiful, on private property, but difficult for older guests to get from parking lot to ceremony site. Also, the highest rental fees, and they required us to choose a caterer from their select list.

The Faculty Club at UC Berkeley

Having an outside ceremony is nice, and I've been to a couple of weddings here, but the inside is kind of dark and dated.

UC Berkeley Alumni House

Kind of cool patio area, but the indoors was no frills and we would have to do everything ourselves. The rental was really cheap though, I think.

Fremont Hills Country Club

Forgot why we rejected this place, but probably too expensive for what we got.

The Thomas Estate in Pleasanton

The Thomas Estate beautifully located in the hills of Mt. Diablo State Park. The Estate features its own private chapel, vineyards, pool and enchanting grounds. Celebrate Weddings, Rehearsal Dinners, Bridal Showers & private intimate dinners.
