Funky Bars in Bangkok for a surreal experience – Get your drink on!

Bangkok has its fair share of crazy, especially when it comes to bars, clubs and themed nights. Here is a list of some of the funkiest bars in the city! 🍸🍷🍺

1

Sing Sing Theatre

If you love theatrical performances but also need your bar vibe, then the Sing Sing Theatre is your place to go! This bar/club is stylishly decorated with iron patterns and a ceiling decorated with hanging lanterns and dragon images which goes well in line with the Muses.

Sing Sing Theatre is quite popular with themed parties, such as Carnival or Underwater. The club is sectioned off in to two bar area with a balcony over the dance floor, which is a great spot for viewing the antics of what's happening downstairs.

You can also enjoy dance performances during your nights here, including a feature of burlesque routines to girls dancing in gas masks. The bar is located on Soi 45 Sukhumvit Road and is open from 8pm.

The weekends are usually wilder and crazier! It's the best place to socialise, dance and drink the night away! This high end bar offers top quality spirits and exotic performances in the vibrant city. πŸ’ƒπŸ•Ί

2

Iron Fairies

Iron Fairies is a magical themed bar, designed by Ashley Sutton, complete with bottle of fairy dust as decor, iron staircases, gargoyle statues perched on the tables with a dark broody setting.

Celebrated as being one of the quirkiest and well decorated bars in the city, Iron Fairies is definitely a must visit place if you're looking for some out of the ordinary places to enjoy a meal or quench your thirst at.

The bar is most popular with tourists and those looking for a great place with interesting decor and fancy drinks! With a limited capacity, it is best to arrive early to ensure you have a place in this quirky bar.

A live band specialising in jazz and soul sounds sets the ideal chilled mood for this bar. It should be stated that bars like this aren't usually featured in most Bangkok travel guides, however online sites such as Travel Bangkok Now will have more than its fair share of secret, quirky places to visit while in the city.

3

Maggie Choo's

Maggie Choo's is another one of Ashley Sutton's marvellous creations. You can find this bar, which also features as a restaurant on Silom road – look for a small wooden old Chinese door somewhere outside the Novotel hotel, in case you can't find it! If you're in to the whole fantasy/ Harry Potter scene, then this is THE place to go.

Guests have stated that the interior resembles the Gringott's Wizarding Bank as there are large vault doors and dark brick walls. Enjoy drinks from a list of wines, cocktails and champagnes as you take in the designs and decors of this interesting bar. 🎩

4

Havana Social

Secret bars are a thing of the present, and Havana Social located in the busy streets of Soi 11 , has no sign or main door – which makes it literally impossible to find! However, keep an eye for a vintage phone booth – where you can punch in the secret code to gain access to this super cool, super secretive Cuban bar in Bangkok! πŸ€
