I, Kara, am a self diagnosed soap addict. But not just any soap. I love cute soap that I can DIY. While I have never tried my hand at cold process soap, the melt and pour variety is able to be manipulated into all sorts of cool shapes, colors, and designs. I have also been a bit obsessed with gradients of late, so it was only natural that I combine my two obsessions and create these DIY gradient soap bars. Not only do I love how these turned out (the colors seem so three dimensional, don’t they?), but they were also so much easier to make than they might look.

When I was planning Little B's room makeover, I knew we needed a brightly coloured rainbow rug somewhere in the mix. Rather than buying one, I decided to make one.

A sure way to impress your friends and family is by making them a homemade bath bomb. Seriously! I got so many oohs and ahhs after making this DIY at home and absolutely loved giving them away. My mom and mother-in-law didn't hate it either. Interesting fact, for those of you that don't know… I majored in chemistry for an entire semester… 😉 So I kinda didn't hate feeling like a scientist putting together this recipe. Major throwback!

Surprisingly I’m not actually the pyro-fiend between Jared and I, but hey, I’m always happy to come up with a DIY that he can spend hours lighting until his heart’s content. Considering this rainbow DIY taper candle is about three feet long and full of about 50 taper candles, he’ll be good for a while!
