This iconic structure a symbol of elegance and affluence of the Emirati people is well known for its huge halls which is said to be large enough to accommodate up to 40,000 devotees at a time. The Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque represents Moghul and Moorish architecture. The place is home to 24 carat gold edged chandeliers, 85 domes, a 1,000 columns as well as the world's largest hand-woven carpet. The world's largest chandelier is also located here measuring a total of 15 meters in height.
