Pop Music's "Fools"

With April Fools Day upon us, I thought it would be fun to count down the best pop "fools" in music. These are songs that you know and love, all of which contain the word "fool" in some variation in their titles.

Everyone from the Doobie Brothers to Styx, and from Ike & Tina Turner to Rufus & Chaka Khan are represented on this list. There's a "Fool on the Hill," a "Fool in the Rain" and even a "Ship of Fools" here.

So even if you consider yourself to be "Nobody's Fool," you must remember this, "Everybody's Somebody's Fool." And you may think you "Won't Get Fooled Again," but at some point in our lives "Everybody Plays the Fool."

So whether you're "Kissing A Fool" tonight, or just playing "Foolish Games," deep down you know you still "Don't Want to Be a Fool."

So don't be "Foolish," read on and have fun reminiscing about these "fools" in pop music.

25. "Maybe I'm A Fool" - Eddie Money

Eddie Money had a top-40 hit with this song in early 1979. That's somewhere on his timeline between the classics "Two Tickets to Paradise" and "Take Me Home Tonight."

Hi, I'm DJ Rob, owner and author of the music blogsite djrobblog.com. I live in Chicago, IL and have been doing the blogsite since January 2015. It features articles about music news, history and trivia - both old and new. The features I enjoy doing the most are my djroblists. I've done dozens of lists ranking everything from blue-eyed soul singers to Prince's greatest songs. I only recently started converting them to listly to increase interaction with my readers. Take some time to enjoy them and let me know what you think! And check out djrobblog.com when you can!
