Going to Salvador, Bahia, here's a list of things to see and do.
Take the Lacerda elevator down and visit the Mercado Modelo for things to buy and bring home to friends.
From people watching to sunset watching, hang out at Porto da Barra
Take a nap in a hammock
One of my favorite dishes, a fish stew with palm oil and coconut milk!
All over town, but the most famous ones are at Casa da Dinha in Rio Vermelho.
Check out the room where people leave items to give thanks for prayers that have been answered.

Old colonial square. Tons to see, shop, eat, and visit.
Vinícius de Moraes knew what he was doing when he wrote the song about spending the day at the beach at Itapuã.
Take the famous elevator ride down to the lower part of the city (near the market). Way cool.
In Pelourinho. Don't forget to check out the Portuguese blue tiles.
